Florian Hurel on summer hairstyles: Out of bed look can do wonders this season, the less is more again

Image
Summer is here and the season demands some cool breezy hairstyles for every occasion. Celebrity makeup artist and hair specialist Florian Hurel one needs to take special care of their hair as summer means heat, sweat and pollution.   “I see things easy with hair. This is the time when we prefer creating a movement with the hair colour and less with the texture. We are focussing on simple hair styles. Out-of-bed look can do wonders this season. The less is more again,” says Hurel, who has weaved his magic over the likes of Sara Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sonakshi Sinha, Janhvi Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, among others. Moving on from hair, he also talks about how the makeup this season is different depending upon whether one is shooting in the day or at night. “The makeup depends on the kind of light available. We may accentuate the makeup in a darker light in order to have the line show better. This happens when we are shooting at night. In day light mostly everything...

Vanraj and Anupamaa go on a picnic

Image
After venting it all out in an intoxicated state, Anupamaa of Rajan Shahi's show of the same name is finally awake. She took everyone's class in that condition, and while she called Vanraj as "Muchchar Shah", she referred to Rakhi Dave as "Tikhi Mirchi".  Later Vanraj tried to help her with her hangover and also joked that she will slowly remember everything that she blurted out on Holi.  Once Anupamaa feels better Vanraj informs her that he has received a divorce reminder letter from the lawyer's office. Both of them say that they feel broken from within after hearing the news, but agree on not sharing it with anyone in the family. They just have three days left before the divorce is finalised and plan on taking the whole family on a picnic. The Shah family is quite excited about it, but Baa and Pakhi team up to send Vanraj and Anupamaa alone. They feel that if they spend some time with each other, they might realise each other...

While Pratigya and Sajjan are shocked to see Krishna, Shakti gets to know the truth

Image
"Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2" had quite a start and the audience can't get enough of the show because of its gripping storyline. Krishna is trying all that he can to save Garv from getting caught in Balwant Tyagi's son's case, and is somehow unable to control his actions.  Once he slapped Pratigya in front of a few neighbours, and now he has come home drunk. Both Pratigya and Sajjan Singh are shocked to see Krishna in such a condition. This is the first time in nine years that Krishna has done something like this and it has left both Pratigya and Sajjan worried. They realise something is not right with him, but Krishna won't share what this is all about.  Since Pratigya is handling Balwant Tyagi's case and can go to any lengths to seek justice, Krishna refrains himself from sharing it, especially with her.  Meanwhile, Shakti's kids tell him the truth about the accident where Balwant Tyagi's son lost his life. They tell him that they were t...

A firm believer that a show or film can run without intimate scenes or nudity, she shared that their aim is to create stories that can be watched together with a family. Under Framecut Entertainment, they have made short films like "Besharam", "Puchki" and "Firdausi Phool", to name a few. The actress said, "As an actor I am not comfortable in doing intimate scenes on-screen, so how can I make films with them in my production house. Both my husband and I want to make films for family viewing. People have told us that such things don't sell now, but look at the popularity of shows like 'Anupamaa', it's a simple story of a housewife, and it is still doing so good. Is there any nudity or intimacy there? I feel there i...

Don’t show off! Celebs react to people putting up pictures helping the poor!

Image
LA lot has been said about celebrities donating food to the needy. Many of the pictures of both the celebs as well as the needy have surfaced on social media. Here is what celebs have to say about it!   Kettan Singh: When I see posts of actors, celebrities and influencers or any privileged citizen going out helping people. Some also put up receipts of their donation amount, I understand some are genuinely doing this to inspire others, but still, I am not a fan of “Neki Kar Insta pe daal”. Charity should be silent, others should speak of it for years. I still believe “neki kar, dariya mein daal”   Amit Mishra: I feel there are two sides of the story. One says if you have to donate something to someone, it shouldn’t be publicized, that's the entire point of donation. But the other side is that just because people see you doing good stuff, they might get influenced and it might motivate them to do the same. Even if you influence one person for doing a good deed, it’s ...

Are OTT platforms a threat to TV and films?

Image
OTT platforms are gaining acceptance nowadays with increased viewership as well as actor participation. TV actors discuss if the web poses a threat to TV or film viewership. Rohit Choudhary: OTT has totally revolutionized the entertainment industry. All actors love having multiple platforms to showcase their talents. It's a great advantage for the industry, I haven't yet acted on an OTT platform but I would love to. I don't think it's a threat to other platforms, every medium has its own market.  Every plateform can co-exist Vijayendra Kumeria: The OTT platform is growing really fast and has a vast range of content. It's on-demand and people are enjoying binge-watching their favorite shows. It's great for us actors also that we have more opportunities. Having said that, I personally believe that there might be a little dip in TV viewership due to OTT platforms but eventually, TV viewership will always be good. There is nothing much to worry as people...

From back and white to color, TV won't become irrelevant: TV frat

Image
Our favorite telly actors share their first memory of having a television set in their lives. They also talk about the impact of digital content on TV. Siddharth Sipani One of my first memories, when the television set came to my house, was watching the Zee Horrorshow. We all would get so scared mostly in Amavas ki Raat. My cousins and I used to sit together and watch that show. So these were the fun memories of those days. Then Cartoon Network came. If I look at television, then so many channels, shows are there and there is so much content. Now, there is much more content with the advent of web series. All this has added so much to the competition as the viewership gets divided due to a limited audience. Subuhii Joshii It was like a festival for us when the TV set came to our house for the first time. It was a second-hand television named JK TV. On the very next day, we found a defect and it needed almost three days to get repaired. Then we also put a big antenna for that...

A recent visit to a farm changed Pranitaa Pandit’s views on vegetables completely, find out why

Image
Actress Pranitaa Pandit (last seen as Rekha in Kawach 2) and her little daughter Anysha visited a farm recently and they had a great time with nature. She says,” The name of the farm is Farmonics and is located in the outskirts of Delhi. The farm is owned by my brother Gaurav Sahu so that was just one more reason for me to visit it. The farm is into hydroponic vegetables which are organic and healthy. I really wanted to expose Anysha to nature, I am also into very much eating green vegetables so I wanted to introduce her to that as well. I have decided not to introduce her to processed food. I wanted her to touch the greenery and experience different shapes and colours. That’s a great way of learning for a small kid. Obviously, she was keen on touching and experiencing all the new things. Most of the time Anysha has visited only maybe to the nearest park. We have not been to any crowded places and also avoided. While travelling, we keep...

I want the industry to give more respect to the female hairdressers: Sucheeta Trivedi

Image
"Indiawaali Maa" actress Sucheeta Trivedi is not someone who just plays strong and powerful characters on-screen, even off-screen she is known for expressing her opinions without any fears or judgement. And she feels there is a need to talk about the hardships that a female hairdresser goes through. Addressing their plight, she said, "There are very few female hairdressers who want to work in the film industry because the job here comes with a 14-16 hours shift. Now imagine if someone is taking up this work that mean they must be in a dire need that's why they leave their kids, family and home for such long hours. To begin with they need to have a card which allows them to work in the industry, and to get that card they need to pay around Rs.1 lakh. If someone has that kind of money, why will they sweat for 14-16 hours?"   "Someone who takes the local trains and buses to commute, who can't even afford to travel in an auto, where will they ge...

Image
Actor Nyra Banerjee, who is currently part of the series Hello Jee, has also been seen in many TV shows such as Divya Drishti and Excuse Me Madaam. The actor says that the shows mean a lot to her and have added a lot of value to her career.  1) You have done Divya Drishti and Excuse Me Madaam. How has the tv experience been? Divya Drishti has given me so much love and popularity, in excuse me madam people have loved me, Hello Jee is booming now and people are loving it and are waiting for the second season to happen. My TV experiences have been amazing too, except for the long schedules of 15 hours. TV reaches out to each and every person and everybody is seeing your face. You get instant popularity and also money. Those people who are very focused on earning every day and not really waiting for an opportunity like something on OTT film or series or maybe a theatrical film, for them, TV is the best way to get that stability and popularity at the same time. I made my deb...
