Vidhi Pandya from Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye’s dwells upon her character breaking all stereotypes to achieve their ambitions

“Stereotypes do exist, but we have to walk through them.” believes Vidhi Pandya who essays the role of Soumya Verma in Sony Entertainment Television’s Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye. Soumya is a highly ambitious soul who is aiming to make it big as a writer in Mumbai. Unlike the quintessential female character in an Indian daily soaps, Soumya is focused on evolving and enhancing her career instead of wanting to get married and having kids. The current track shows her working day and night to get placed in Armaan Oberoi’s (Vijayendra Kumeria) company, who believes in equal opportunities but has a grey, unexplored side to himself.

Soumya’s character fights a battle between her head and her heart – her sole focus in life is to achieve her professional dreams. She's also clear hearted and compassionate– characteristics that are highly appreciated by Vidhi Pandya herself.

“I also admire how in the recent episodes, Soumya took the empty envelope charge on herself and was successful in saving Anita’s image and salvaged the situation." says Vidhi Pandya

Shedding more light on the process of playing Soumya, Vidhi continues, “Soumya is a beautiful woman who breaks all the shackles of patriarchy. I am always in awe of the character, and can relate to her since I have also been extremely ambitious since the very beginning. Irrespective of whatever is going on in her life, she chooses her career over it all.”

Soumya’s dedication to making it big in life professionally over personal gains is an arc that Vidhi Pandya holds heartfelt admiration for. She adds that, "Normally, young women are expected to be docile and nervous all the time. Whereas Soumya character is worth living and admiring."

Vidhi also feels that she and her on-screen character share a lot of similarities.

Tune in to Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye every Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television
