The actress says that it has been a long ride here and she still has a long way to go. “My journey in Bollywood has always been hard and difficult because when I came to Mumbai, I had no clue where I had to go. I had no Godfather. I started from the very basics. I slowly started with TV shows and then web series. I slowly transformed and got into Bollywood and Telugu films. It took me 5 to 6 years to reach here as I had no support,” she says. Love In Ukraine has collected a decent 1.4 crore nett at the Indian box office from over 350 theatres all over India in its first weekend. With competition from Top Gun Maverick, Anek and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, it was a commendable collection for the film which features a fresh casting pair from India and Ukraine and has been filmed completely in Ukraine just before the war. Director Nitin Kumar Gupta is pleased with the collection, "I am thankful that the audience gave a chance to this labor of love. The film still has a few days to go in theatres before we release it on OTT and satellite. We have also planned an international version release in English and Ukrainian languages." A series that seeks to capture the honest efforts of her organisation as they work tirelessly to rescue victims of domestic violence, Somy says that the show captures her organisation’s work accurately. “It's a documentary series about my NGO’s day-to-day work in-depth and its mission. Calling it an opportunity of a lifetime, actor Ashoka Thackur says that he learned a lot from his short film ‘Character’. The actor played multiple roles in the project. “I did this short film in 2020. The concept was mine but it was developed by Ajay Siyaram Tiwari. That time the Covid situation was bad and together, both of us, we arranged all the costumes and materials that were required for Ram Leela. We went to Ayodhya for this. It was a raw shoot and I played multiple characters in that," he says. He adds, "Sometimes I became Shiv, other times Ram or Hanuman. We had a limited time of four days. The movie is named ‘Character’ because one person is playing multiple roles. Actor Siddharth, who has been recently seen in the web series Escaype Live, says that OTT has helped him develop his acting craft to a greater degree than his films. The actor adds that since in a web series, the total screen time is longer, he is able to do a lot more.   “OTT has given me exciting things to do with my characters. In a film, you are addressing a two and a half-hour exposure. Here, you are addressing a nine-hour exposure. So, you are creating many more details about the character. It becomes more intimate. It’s almost like you’re reading a book while watching the film. I had received many offers but I chose my work for a very specific reason. Firstly, I need to enjoy watching the content. Secondly, I should see a challenge in playing that character that I have not done so far. And thirdly, I should get something to learn. The series talks about lengths people go to get famous and earn money on social media and Rohit says that some of this content might not be appropriate for kids.   “I feel that certain content should be only visible to people of a certain age. There should be some bifurcation because many times there's some content which is not suitable for a small kid, as it might affect the developing brain of that kid.
