Subuhii Joshii, Namita Lal and Nivedita Basu share their thoughts on BCCI's decision of equal pay for both men and women cricketers!

I think it’s a great move. It's a new era of equality and the best part is BCCI is just the third board to take this step. Of Course it gives a ray of hope to see change in our industry too and I hope it happens soon. We just talk about equality but in reality there still is a lot of partiality. But after this huge step by BCCI, I sincerely hope our industry implies this too. When I started working we used to get our first cheque after 90 days of the telecast of the show. It has become way better now. It’s still not completely fair, but so much better than before. I think payments should be done on a monthly basis, and not after 2-3 months.

Proud moment for sport for BCCI to take equal pay decision . There is a lot of pressure now on producers to get equal compensation from leading actors of both genders especially in Hollywood and Europe. With films such as gangubai and tv shows such as Anupama leading the revenue collections in 2022 there will be financial and business justification too and accelerate the cause tremendously

Nivedita Basu
It's a huge step and a brilliant decision, but I think the pay scale in the television industry is just the opposite. Female actresses get paid more than the male actors which may not be true for film actors

'Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei 31st January written update: Will Nupur be able to find Chikoo?

The Monday episode of Nilanjana Purkayasstha and Herumb Khot's "Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei" saw Chikoo asking Sameer to teach her how to play a piano. She is wondering why he is not calling her beta or Archie, and asks him what her name is, but Pushpa comes there and tells her that she is Archie Khetan.  Just then Nupur knocks on their door. She shows Sameer a photograph of Chikoo and asks him if he has seen her. Sameer says no and asks her who she is. She tells him that the girl in the picture is just like her daughter. He asks her about her parents, to which Nupur tells him that they found her at an NGO and have not been able to find her parents. Sameer realises that his mother was right that Chikoo has no one. But Chikoo calls Sameer and Nupur recognises the voice as Chikoo's and asks him who she is. He tells her that it's her daughter and their voices can be similar. Nupur leaves from there.
